Youtube audition gone wrong
The perils of promoting oneself.
Abimbowe

Short beautiful film. Lovely actress aided with soft lighting. What’s not to like?
Easy Pickins

Home Alone but with a old lady instead of a kid. Sounds cliche, well it is. But thoroughly enjoyable.
The Dot and the Line (Oscar 1965)
Mellart posted this clever animation by Chuck Jones and the MGM Animation/Visual Arts studio.
A straight line is in love with a dot; however, the dot finds the line too plain, unimaginative, and rigid. She would rather spend her time with an undisciplined squiggle who is much more fun. The dejected line later realizes that he doesn’t have to be unbending. When the line demonstrates his abilities to the dot, she realizes that true beauty comes from discipline and that the squiggle is not for her.
Yes all that from a line and a dot as the main characters. Another demonstration of how little you need to tell a story.
The Hair Cut

Great locale, cute idea.
A barber welcomes a most unusual customer. The Haircut is a film about the thin line between vanity and delusion, and how the customer is always right.

A simple and entertaining short animated movie about aiming our own efforts in the right direction. Or perhaps it’s about talking with monkeys for advices.

Best Game Ever - Best Improv Everywhere prank ever!
The Improv Everywhere pranks were getting tiresome. But this time, they stepped up to the big leagues (all puns intended). The group showed up at a Little League game in California with a Jumbotron, sports newscaster Jim Gray and a friggin’ blimp. Awesome cuteness.
The greatest gift

I love my daily dose of silliness and this one is going to last me the week. Once again, subtext is all over the place, especially if you live in the States. Directed by Daniel Bloomberg.
P.S. Alisha - You wanted to do a film on chocolate. Well, you might be a little late…
Gone in a Flash

Beautiful cinematography. The HD camera & 35mm lens combo predictably create a striking picture. Widescreen cinema loves a subject in the middle and there is plenty of that in this short, especially effective when the subject looks directly in camera. The story is cute, not sure if I would like it if it were shot differently.
Skeletor Finds His X-mas Spirit
Scene from He-man Christmas special. Yes, it was that cheesy…
