I think you could do something a bit like this on the cheap by capturing a large amount of photos in a burst mode on digital camera, then stitching them together in Photoshop. Afterwards, designate a certain size frame to repeatedly copy stills, each taken from your original stitched photo, and arrange them as a slideshow. Wouldn’t be nearly as pretty, though– but it would be pretty weird!
I think this is done fairly cheaply as it is made with one stills camera and a computer.
Really effective- love it! Pretty sure it is just a bunch of still frames aligned to each other and morphed between, but technique != execution, so really, all that matters is that this is beautiful!
