I Met the Walrus
Posted by DeK on July 3, 2008.

A six-minute animated film in which John Lennon talks about global conflict and the need for peace.
Directed by Josh Raskin. Nominated for 2007 Oscar, but wasn’t available online at the time of our showcase.
Watch it. (Flash Video, poor quality)

Watch it in high quality in the youtube screening room: http://es.youtube.com/ytscreeningroom?v=jmR0V6s3NKk (and stop linking to this stupid milk&cookies site. give us the direct youtube link)
Thanks, much better. Downloaded the MP4 too.
I prefer linking to MandC because Youtube links die faster than butterflies. Me and the other mods and admin can update links on M&C, so that all site linking there are kept up to date in one click. That’s the power of indirection. Otherwise I should search and update all my posts one at a time.
Also, M&C links back to us in the measure we link to them.
P.S. And I also hate Youtube.
hm, but doesnt MandC only link to youtube? so when the youtube link dies, their link doesnt work anymore either, right? And M&C is bloody ugly, too. Such a distracting layout. Its no fun to watch videos on M&C
> doesnt MandC only link to youtube?
Nope. For example, “Return to Menu” links to Vimeo, while “Western Spaghetti” is hosted in house. But in those cases I linked to the original because those links should stay there for long. (And also I only hate Youtube, not Vimeo…)
> when the youtube link dies, their link doesnt work anymore either, right?
Yes, so I (or some other M&C moderator) only have to update that link. I can also preventively submit a mirror link, so that when this one dies, and somebody flag the link as broken, the new link comes automagically in.
As I said, otherwise I should update all my posts (on Ticklebooth, on No Fat Clips, on ComputerLove, and wherever I happen to drop a link) one by one .

I’ll send Jaxon (MandC admin) the link to this post. He’s always receptive about criticism.
ok, I understand now. Keep up the good work (and dont link to M&C :-p)
