LCD Soundsystem – “Someone Great”
Among the attractive NY faces, a silhouetted figure quietly walks likes through like a ghost. The feeling of loss, which the song aspires to address, is overwritten by the feeling of someone choosing to be alone. The idea of silhouetting the lead character is quite effective, I wonder if it would worked better for a different song or with a more plot driven set of actions because she is so expressionless. Beautiful nevertheless, I am sure we will see this idea recycled very soon.
