Family Guy: Lois Griffin Adopts Republican Talking Points

We have reached a point in history where we don’t bother with what someone is saying but instead we focus on personality. American Political debates have certainly suffered because of this. People are looking for signs of strength, signs of intelligence. Actual information is meaningless but confidence is everything. Bill Clinton and George W. Bush had plenty of confidence, the other recent two term president was Ronald Reagan who ran the country with sheer confidence (and nothing else??!).

And though I am not a big fan of the Family Guy, these scenes capture what I am talking about perfectly. The shorter the talking points, the more powerful it is. The more inflammatory, the more it inspires.
