There is some strange chemistry between Newman and Dean. At one point, Dean says “Kiss me.” Can’t tell whether he is try to throw Newman off balance or is actually flirting.

Some of the comments say that Dean got the gig because Kazan and him were lovers. I find it very hard to believe that, especially with Kazan’s record of being a big womanizer.

    jim is actually flirting, paul questions his remark and says yeh? and u can see jim say yeh but not say it, i call him jim because thats what they called him, everyone anyway he was bi and leaned for men but he was not gay, im the same way i love this clip

    James Dean was NOT gay! I am sick to death of hearing that! You shouldn’t assume that just because it’s in print that it’s true. The gay angle only helped a lot of people who claimed they knew James Dean profit off of him after his death. And dead men can’t defend themselves against defamation, now can they?
