The Earliest Face of Creep

Would someone please find me a mp3 of the Hollies “The Air That I Breath”? It is said Radiohead copied there meolody for Creep and had to hand over copywrite publishing to the Hollies. . I am so wanting to hear that song to see the similarities.

Here’s the music video. Judge for yourself.

Watch it. (Flash Video)

UPDATE: Ajit posted a couple of links in the comments, where we learn that Radiohead ammittedly did use the Hollies bass chords, and that the publishing credits also include Albert Hammond and Mike Hazelwood as authors.

(I tried this new AJAX powered service to make deep quotes. Let me know if it doesn’t work.)

UPDATE2: Yay, stereo mix! On the left track, Creep, ported from C to D# and downtempo-ed. On the right track, The Air that I Breath, ported from F to D#.
Software used: Virtual Dub and Audacity. Bad mix only due to my lameness.

Wow. I can hear the similarities. But there is not enough of similarity where I can see Radiohead handing over the rights to Crep.

    Hi,

Greenplastic.com has explainations for the similarities. Radiohead admittedly did use the Hollies bass chords. Articles are here:
