Squigglebooth – Path No.1
The third episode at Squigglebooth is a break from filmmaking tradition. It is part of an approach that I hope gathers a following, a true participatory filmmaking, where the audience decides on what the film should be about.
Path is a Squigglebooth project that will be written by the audience. The resulting ideas will be shot by me. We will build block by block. Adding ideas, refining ideas, going back and fixing something. Hopefully, at the end of all this we will a wonderful film but also more importantly have a film that speaks for a lot of people. Not “to” but “for.”
The first installment, Path No.1, consists of a POV (point of view) shot from the inside of a car riding at nightfall. Very simple but it also has many possibilities. Who is driving? Is someone with them? Where is the car headed? What happens when they get there? These are the answers that I encourage you to answer.
