Russian Climbing

We had previously linked to Russian Driving, now we bring you Russian Climbing. The video is long, cheesy and extremely repetitive with no story (that I can see) but it is still remains intriguing. A couple of Russian boys jump, climb and do all kinds of stunts that you are amazed they remain still alive. It seems Russian teenagers, unlike their American counterparts with skateboards, have taken a liking to climbing walls!

good stuff…i love the physicality of climbers. but, actually, american teenagers do this, in addition to skateboarding and other fringe-y fun sports. teens in france, england and surely many other places have been doing this for years…some people call it “freestyle walking”. lots of good viddys out there on the web.
let me educate those who think this is Russian climbing. First of all this video is latvian, filmed in Daugpolis. Second of all, its not Russian climbing, its called freerunning. The sport originated in France, currently David Belle(best, and creator of parkour) and Sebastien Foucan(dude in casino royale construction site chase) are the most famous practioners. I my self am a practioner, and me and about 20 kids go around and climb everything. The sport is requires little to no fear of getting hurt, and great physical strength. Yamakasi rules~
OK. Firstly Daugpolis is Daugavpils (sorry can’t let someone mistaken my town’s name
). I just wanna say that it’s called Russian climbing coz there people are more extreme than enywhere else, they don’t have much of safety conditions plus in Russia there are plenty of old houses (i bet more than in France or UK) and staff like that where freerunners can develop themselves. Also it’s Russian Climbing coz Russian boys are more extreme and many of them don’t have safety limits. Just my thoughts…
